Useful findings still need interpretation

Security products produce alerts, inventories, configuration results, and reports. Those outputs can provide valuable evidence, but a consequential decision also requires context: the affected asset, applicable requirement, evidence quality, and person authorized to approve the outcome. More findings alone do not answer every governance question.

Connect outputs to a defined decision

QILAHK’s trust method organizes relevant outputs into an evidence register, relates them to Trust Profile criteria, and supports review before a decision is recorded. The collection path can be an agreed export, a supported integration, or an authorized evidence collector. Integration coverage and data handling must be defined for the particular deployment; universal compatibility is not assumed.

A practical workflow

An endpoint management report and a boot state record may answer complementary parts of a review. The assessor checks whether they refer to the same device and relevant time period, examines inconsistencies, and records unresolved questions. A favorable result in one tool cannot automatically override conflicting evidence from another.

The operational difference

The purpose is to connect existing investments to a coherent decision process. Findings retain their source, reviewers retain responsibility for interpretation, and authorities retain responsibility for approval. A portable outcome can communicate the conclusion while preserving the distinction between raw output, verified evidence, and an authorized trust decision.
